I offer online and in person lessons with a flexible schedule. Tuition is available for all levels (though I highly recommend beginners to take “in person” classes if at all possible) and I am very happy to focus on any aspect of piping that the student is particularly interested in.
I mainly teach by ear and encourage students to develop the ability to learn by ear as this is an invaluable skill for Irish music players.
Through my lessons you can expect to learn fundamental piping techniques to help with your style, phrasing and rhythm. The tunes I teach in the lessons are simply a vehicle to which you can apply the deeper techniques we will cover, with a view to applying these same techniques to the rest of your repertoire.
